BAHSL has active links with many of the local agencies in the Brewarrina Shire and are often called upon to address meetings, present reports on their activities and participate in their conferences. For example, BAHSL are members of the Community Working Party and attend the monthly meetings. BAHSL also work closely with the schools in the delivery of nutritional and health programs . |
Health Is Life Is Health
The National Aboriginal Health Strategy Working Party, (1989), defined health as:
"Not just the physical well-being of the individual but the social, emotional, and cultural well-being of the whole community. This is a whole - of - life view and it also includes the cyclical concept of life-death-life."

BAHSL is a non-profit organisation which relies on public support from individuals, community groups, corporations, trusts and foundations as well as governnment funding to continue to improve the health and well-being of our clients and community.
On Wednesday, 17th June, 2009, an Open Day was held at the Brewarrina Aboriginal Health Service Limited targeting the Brewarrina community.
Originally the day was to be held on the 9th June, but was postponed due to wet weather.
