A major BAHSL strategy is to develop a local base of cultural identity and knowledge, and in the process, foster a culture of learning and achievement that can assist in many life situations. From the building and maintenance of our cultural identity and the reclaiming of our cultural heritage will come the skills, strength and self-esteem to achieve, and learn further. |
Health Is Life Is Health
The National Aboriginal Health Strategy Working Party, (1989), defined health as:
"Not just the physical well-being of the individual but the social, emotional, and cultural well-being of the whole community. This is a whole - of - life view and it also includes the cyclical concept of life-death-life."

BAHSL is a non-profit organisation which relies on public support from individuals, community groups, corporations, trusts and foundations as well as governnment funding to continue to improve the health and well-being of our clients and community.
On Wednesday, 17th June, 2009, an Open Day was held at the Brewarrina Aboriginal Health Service Limited targeting the Brewarrina community.
Originally the day was to be held on the 9th June, but was postponed due to wet weather.
